COVID PROTOCOL
Columbia Products staff are certified in Covid compliance by Safe Sets International. We follow the guidance of New York State, the CDC, and SAG-AFTRA’s The Safe Way Forward production guidelines.
Respiratory protection: Anyone inside the studio or common areas of the building must wear a mask (N95, surgical, or cloth). We ask clients to provide their own masks, but we are happy to provide backup surgical masks in case of emergency.
HEPA filtration: We use Austin Air HealthMate portable HEPA air filters, as recommended by FEMA for natural disasters. We open the windows for maximum flow of fresh air whenever possible; and when it’s not possible, our Mitsubishi ductless heating/cooling system has built-in HEPA filters.
Nitrile gloves: We provide nitrile gloves for anyone who would like to wear them when touching common surfaces (the electric kettle, drawer handles, etc.). Disinfectant wipes are also available for general use.
Disinfectant spray and paper towels: We provide hospital-grade disinfectant in spray bottles in each zone of the studio for general use.
Hand sanitizer: We provide hand sanitizer throughout the studio zones, and ask that everyone sanitize their hands when entering or exiting the studio, as well as throughout the day.
Bathrooms: Bathrooms and high-touch common areas will be disinfected throughout the day.
Tableware and drinking glasses: Any dishes used for eating or drinking in the studio will be run through our high-temperature commercial sanitizer-dishwasher. We provide charcoal-filtered tap water and encourage clients to bring their own water bottles. We encourage clients to use disposable utensils provided by caterers or craft services when possible.
Floors: Floors will be mopped with disinfectant once per day, as photo equipment allows.
Deep cleaning: As usual, the studio will receive a full deep cleaning between all shoots. .
Social distancing: We ask that clients continue to maintain 6 feet of distance whenever possible.
Contact tracing: We maintain contact tracing logs based on call sheets, with an email address and cell phone for each person on set. If this information isn’t on a call sheet, we’ll ask crew members to provide it the day of the shoot.
